Alhamdulillah, 2022 has been a year filled with accomplishments both professionally and personally. After two years of contraction and stagnation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I resumed traveling this year to meet family and friends and to oversee international humanitarian projects in various parts of the world.
Thanks to the grace of Allah, I was able to contribute to the completion of projects benefiting war-affected populations in Yemen, Palestine, and Syria, as well as those affected by floods in Pakistan, famine in Somalia and East Africa, and the COVID-19 pandemic in Tunisia and many other countries. Additionally, I continued to serve orphans and refugees, including the Rohingya and Uighur communities.
I was blessed to visit 13 countries across 4 continents (Canada, Bosnia, Turkey, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Vatican City, Tunisia, the UK, Malaysia, and South Africa) and explore 27 cities within them. These visits were invaluable learning experiences, where I met hundreds of old and new friends, experienced different cultures, and gleaned lessons and insights while marveling at the diverse creations of Allah.
Furthermore, I had the honor of leading five international volunteer trips as part of the Inspire project, accompanied by over a hundred young volunteers from Canada. Through these trips, I supported educational projects for orphans and refugees in Bosnia, Turkey, Malaysia, and South Africa. Additionally, I supervised international training courses, participated in global conferences, and served as a visiting professor at various universities.
Alhamdulillah, I was fortunate to live in a country that respects and honors humanitarian workers, providing them with opportunities for creativity and service. Conversely, in my saddened homeland, charitable workers are persecuted, and every initiative to serve the people is obstructed for frivolous reasons.
I pray that the coming year will be blessed for you and your loved ones, filled with goodness, happiness, and success on all fronts.
