I had an opportunity to spend an extensive amount of time during the course and outside of the course times. Since, 2022, I routinely have reached out to Dr. Abdelmonem Daymi for guidance when I am teaching fundraising courses in different parts of the world due to his extensive practical experience and knowledge. For example when I did trainings in Morocco, Turkey, Kuwait, Bahrain, Kenya, Indonesia and South Africa, he was one of the people I would call for guidance on local contacts and subject matter expertise. I have come to know Mr. Abdelmonem Daymi in my capacity as Senior Adviser of Regional
Programmes at the United Nations Development Programme’s Regional Bureau for Arab States. Mr.
Daymi was a Tunisian youth representative who attended two of our regional meetings on ‘Arab Youth and
the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)’, held in Rabat and Cairo in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
Mr. Daymi comes across as a mature, intelligent person with a capacity for critical thought. He
has been articulate, personable and a capable representative of his country and of Arab youth more
generally. All of his interventions were well-informed, and he exhibited an admirable capacity to be
diplomatic and sincere. When he was not speaking formally, it was evident that Mr. Daymi was friendly to
both his peers and his senior colleagues, and left a good impression on the gathered participants.
It has been a pleasure to work with Mr. Daymi and I am confident he will contribute very well to
whatever endeavor, or career, he chooses to pursue.

I have known Abdel for a few years informally but had the chance to meet him formally and work with him daily for 2 weeks in 2023 as part of a humanitarian relief mission in Indonesia and Malaysia. We have kept in touch regularly since then.
In that time, Abdel was a group leader that not only led our group, but coordinated efforts with local agency leaders which required significant time, effort and expertise. The logistics were rather complex but Abdel made the entire experience an amazing one - it was incredibly organized, well thought out, and a great success. It was called “Inspire”, and certainly Abdel inspired a team of local volunteers, international volunteers and most importantly, orphans and widows.
I’ve experienced first hand his leadership which is superlative. He has the ability to organize and unite a large group of people for a common goal with amazing skill. He is the type of person you gravitate towards. He is both charismatic and caring.
He is incredibly intelligent and his resume speaks for itself. I had the pleasure of spending numerous days and nightly dinners with Abdel; we properly nicknamed him “Captain” because of his leadership qualities.
I’ve met a lot of amazing people in my professional life, some who have accumulated considerable wealth, others who have made significant changes in the lives of their clients or patients. None, however, have come close to what I’ve seen with Captain Monem. In the days I was with him, perhaps his most important quality, one that cannot be faked or exaggerated is his kind heart. He sincerely cares. Every orphan we encountered with Abdel, even those living under the harshest of conditions, with a life of misery, he was able to put a smile on their face. Whether this involved singing to the orphan, providing a small toy or just listening, he has an unmatched level of benevolence and sincerity which I have rarely, if ever, seen.
Since my life-changing humanitarian trip with Captain Abdel, I have talked about him frequently with family and friends as an example of work ethic, charisma, leadership, sincerity and kindness.
Our days were long and difficult. At the end of the night we were all exhausted and we were often awoken by a WhatsApp message from Abdel about what happened that day and the itinerary and ideas for the next day. He was always the last to sleep and the first to wake up, a true leader.
He has made so many sacrifices and is often asked to be away from his young family for several weeks at a time. This is not easy for anyone. Abdel remembers everyone he meets including names of orphans and volunteers. I have no doubt he will not just be an asset to any company or organization, but he will take it to its zenith. I got a chance to work with Dr Monem, He is a creative leader in both Humanitarian and development contexts. I volunteered with the Islamic Relief Canada team led by Dr. Monem, during the Inspire Canada programme for fundraising by young graduates from Canada raising funds for street children, and orphans and educational intervention at the Islamic Relief Pakistan project intervention. We planned together for the first-ever Inspire youth from Canada, it was a successful launch of the Inspire program 2023 for Pakistan. With the help of the Inspire program visit to Pakistan, we raise a good amount of funds for the protection of children at risk. I wish him the best of luck for the future and we work together for the provision of an enabling environment for the children of Pakistan.

Abdel Monem Daymi is an experienced Emergency Responder, with exceptional personal skills.
