Humanitarian mission in Morocco

Just returned from an eye-opening field visit to our humanitarian operation in Morocco. It was a pleasure to be hosted by our IRW’s humanitarian mission, where I had the chance to reconnect with many of the team members who were once my students, volunteers, and team members when they embarked on their humanitarian journey. Witnessing them now in leadership roles was truly inspiring and made me immensely proud.

Visiting the earthquake-affected area allowed me to witness firsthand the resilience of communities and the impact of the massive disaster. Meeting the families impacted by the disaster was incredibly humbling. Their stories, courage, and determination in the face of adversity left a profound mark on me. It reinforced the importance of our work and the urgency of our mission.

Contributing to the distribution of food and winter kits brought me immense joy, knowing that these essentials will provide some relief and warmth to those in need during challenging times. The time we spent with the kids and the PSS activities we organized was unforgettable.

Moreover, the trip provided an opportunity to meet our local partner, Al Mobadara, and visit their projects, mainly the orphan centers. Witnessing the impact of our collaboration firsthand was truly heartening. Additionally, meeting with the Ministry of Health to discuss future collaborations to bring medical aids and facilitate medical missions was promising and filled me with hope for the future.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to our partner Airlink, Inc. for facilitating the trip logistics. Your support was instrumental in making this journey possible, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with you in support of our humanitarian work.

Lastly, reconnecting with friends and previous colleagues in Morocco added a personal touch to the journey, reminding me of the importance of human connections in our work.
